Neuropsychology and cyberbullying: A brief narrative bibliographic review
Abstract
The objective of this review was to identify the current state of research on the neuropsychological aspects of cyberbullying. The methodology was documentary with a bibliographic-narrative emphasis based on the review of articles obtained from databases such as Scopus, SciELO, and Google Scholar. The PRISMA-P protocol was used for documentary and systematic searches and reviews. The results showed that cyberbullying, from a neuropsychological perspective, has been studied in relation to processes such as executive functioning, attention, memory, and behavioral and emotional disorders. However, research is scarce and incipient, making it necessary to strengthen this perspective and promote studies that include a greater number of variables related to neuropsychological aspects. Finally, general recommendations for the prevention of cyberbullying are proposed, taking into account elements highlighted in these studies.
